Assistant Professor in Pharmacy Practice (0.6 FTE 1 year fixed term)

The University of Bradford School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences is seeking to appoint a 0.6 FTE Assistant Professor in Pharmacy Practice on a 1-year fixed term basis, to strengthen our sector-leading teaching of Clinical Pharmacy at the postgraduate level. The key objective of this postholder will be to lead the design, development, delivery and evaluation of a pilot model of independent prescribing training pathway for (pre-registration) Foundation Trainee Pharmacists. This also includes the planning and delivery of training for new Designated Prescribing Practitioners (DPPs).

The post holder will be an experienced practitioner with prior experience of teaching pharmacists or pharmacy students (ideally in relation to independent prescribing/pharmacy practice). Applicants should have a professional background that includes working in patient-facing roles. You should hold a relevant postgraduate qualification. You will join a truly innovative School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, with a suite of postgraduate programmes, a fully integrated MPharm based on Team-Based Learning and excellence in research. You will be an experienced and enthusiastic teacher and take a proactive role in developing new learning materials alongside our highly experienced and supportive team. An independent prescribing qualification is an advantage.
