Role Overview & Responsibilities
Based within Griffiths & Armour’s Professional Risks Division, the role will consist of:
- Reading and reviewing contracts (largely construction contracts) for Griffiths & Armour’s clients.
- Providing advice, assistance and recommendations to Griffith & Armour’s clients in relation to those contracts.
- Providing support to client facing brokers within the business.
- Building relationships with clients.
- Getting involved in drafting, developing and delivering risk management literature, statistics and presentations.
- Carrying out other duties and jobs which management may, from time to time, reasonably require.
Full training will be provided, but legal experience is a requirement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisation skills (including the ability to effectively manage own workload)
- Disciplined, conscientious approach to work
- Ability to manage time well and prioritise tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong legal experience and/or legal qualifications
- Ability to deal with sensitive and/or confidential information appropriately
- Proficient Microsoft Office Skills
- Excellent team player
- Experienced in a client facing role
- Strong interpersonal skills
Desirable
- A demonstrable interest in construction law and/or the construction industry
- Knowledge of legal/engineering language
- Business awareness
