Are you looking for a rewarding role? Come join our team as a Handyman/Woman to ensure the homes of vulnerable adults are secure and safe.

United Response is a lead national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

Here at United Response we are looking to recruit a Handyman/woman to join our team based in Brentry, Bristol. You would be required to work 5 days per week for 5 hours with the occasional weekend.

Your tasks would include:

• Painting/decorating
• Carpentry, e.g. making shelf units
• Vehicle cleaning
• Fortnightly tip runs to dispose of items broken by PWS
• General gardening work such as; mowing the lawn and building garden structures
• Maintaining safety of paths, ramps and walkways
• Moving furniture, fixtures and fittings
• Health and safety checks

To apply as our role, you will need:

• Excellent and clear communication skills.
• Have an extensive knowledge of health and safety and risk management
• Previous experience of a maintenance or handy person role.
• To be able to cope under noisy and stressful environments
• An outstanding can-do attitude and the desire to work as a member of our team.
• Full UK drivers licence
